COMMUNICATION
Communication with the client is key to a successful project. From the beginning, we work closely with our clients and provide guidance regarding the overall process. We also manage the process from the design stage to completion. The goal of every single project is to exceed our client’s expectations and deliver a beautiful product.
INITIAL MEETING
We will meet with you to view the space and determine the scope of the work. Our goal is to understand your construction and remodeling needs and goals. We will discuss the options, take measurements and photos and develop any recommendations we may have regarding efficient use of space.
DESIGN SERVICES
We will prepare a preliminary design concept and estimate. We also have established relationships with experienced designers, who can assist with design consulting services. Once a final design has been selected, a final estimate can be provided for the project.
ESTIMATE AND COST
Once the design of the project is complete, we will provide a detailed written estimate for the project. We provide detailed cost estimates or bids so that you know what to expect at each stage in the process. This will allow for proper budgeting of the project.
The estimate you accept becomes our contract price for the project. It is our goal to effectively manage the budget and stay within the price agreed to in the contract. The contract price is paid in installments based upon a timetable set forth in the written contract.
Permits and detailed drawings with specifications must generally be produced for construction and building projects. These are required for submission to local authorities for required permits. From time to time, project changes, also known as change orders, may be necessary for the completion of the project, due to an unforeseen or new condition, or resulting from a change or request by the client. Change orders become amendments to the original contract price. They can quickly impact the finalized budget. We make every effort to provide you with as much information as is possible concerning the effects of any change orders to the agreed upon budget. We may propose recommend alternative designs or products, which will reduce the impact of a change order or overcome the need for one.
SCHEDULE
We will not begin a project without having a schedule with a timeline for completion. Projection management is key to the successful completion of the project. We value your time and carefully develop a schedule for the project, which outlines each phase and provides you with information on what to expect at each stage.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS & CONSTRUCTION
Timely communication and listening to the client are our best project management tools. Once the schedule for the project has been developed, it is our goal to stick to the schedule. We will immediately communicate with you concerning any unforeseen or needed adjustments.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment at our project site. If you will remain in the property during construction or will need access to the site, we will work with you to develop a plan. The actual transformation of the space begins with the demolition and construction phase. As with every stage in the process, communication is critical at this stage.
